Celebrating the Launch of "Our Lakes, Our Future”
The launch of "Our Lakes, Our Future" (OLOF) marks a significant step forward in the preservation of the lakes in New Zealand’s Rotorua Te Arawa region. The project is a collaboration between local iwi and local councils committed to protecting the vital lake ecosystems in the region.
OLOF focuses on key environmental challenges such as pollution, invasive species, and the impacts of climate change, combining research, community engagement, and sustainable methods to restore the ecological health of the lakes.
